About Studio 706
Hello! I’m Christie Morgan. I moved to Blairsville from Virginia with my husband in 2022, and we have fallen in love with this town and raising our children on our farm. I specialize in design and planning, and my husband owns a construction and renovations company called MCR - Morgan Construction and Renovations. We love working with our clients together whenever we have the opportunity to do so.
After attending design school in Virginia, I dove in and became the lead designer at a development and property management company in Charlottesville, VA. I was able to gain experience working on a variety of projects including commercial build outs, apartment building designs (new and renovations), single family homes, historic renovations, and more. My work included the production and/or editing of floor plans, kitchen design drawings, lighting and electrical plans and mechanical plans for all of the project types mentioned above. I selected finishes and oversaw the ordering and delivery of products and construction materials for many projects, including some landscaping projects. I spent a lot of time on job sites working with a variety of contractors, working with them in both planning and installation phases. When I met my required professional hours, I passed the testing to become a Certified Interior Designer.
Since I moved to Blairsville and opened Studio 706, I have worked on a variety of projects here in the tri-state area, and also remotely including the areas of South Georgia, Texas, North Carolina and Virginia. These projects include custom home plans, home additions, kitchen and bathroom renovations, residential remodeling, commercial build outs, hotel renovation updates, real estate staging, and more. I have helped clients at all different phases and portions of their projects, and I have a passion for finding the solutions that best serve my clients.
